Notice of Existing-Resident Selection Preference

GE Tower Apartments, managed by The Franklin Group, announces a brief public application period for its site-based waiting list for Atlanta Housing’s HOMEFlex rental assistance program.
This single public notice announces both the opening and closing of the waiting list.

Opening date and time: November 5, 2026, at 9:00 AM Eastern Time
Closing date and time: November 5, 2026, at 5:00 PM Eastern Time
Bedroom sizes included: 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms

Public Application Opportunity

This opening is available to the general public, including households that do not currently reside at GE Tower. Existing GE Tower residents may also apply. Pre-applications will be accepted during the application period stated above, and the waiting list will close at the announced deadline.

All households must satisfy applicable HOMEFlex and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit eligibility requirements and the property’s Tenant Selection Plan. Submission of a pre-application does not guarantee admission, an available apartment, or rental assistance.

Preference for Qualifying Existing Residents

For this opening, a selection preference will be provided to otherwise eligible households already residing at GE Tower that meet the existing-resident preference criteria authorized by Atlanta Housing.

Existing-resident preference criteria: GE Tower allows a preference for current GE Tower tenants who were not properly moved into GE Tower from the waitlist. This preference allows qualifying existing residents to receive priority consideration for HOMEFlex assistance in accordance with Atlanta Housing’s authorization. The preference does not restrict applications to existing residents, exclude members of the public from applying, or waive eligibility requirements.

Selection will follow the Tenant Selection Plan’s approved preference order, applicable accessibility priorities, bedroom-size requirements, and date-and-time procedures. GE Tower does not use a lottery.

How to Apply

Pre-applications may be obtained from the GE Tower management office or requested by telephone or email. Pre-applications may be submitted in person or online to:

Pre-applications must be received during the announced application period. Incomplete submissions will be handled under the Tenant Selection Plan’s completion procedures. Reasonable accommodations and equally effective application methods are available when needed.

There is no fee to obtain a pre-application or to join or remain on the waiting list. Please do not send Social Security numbers or financial records through ordinary email.

Waiting List Closure

At the stated closing deadline, GE Tower will stop accepting new pre-applications for the bedroom sizes identified in this notice, except as required by an approved reasonable accommodation or other express Atlanta Housing authorization. Closing the waiting list does not cancel valid applications already on the list. Requests involving accessible units will continue to be handled under the Tenant Selection Plan.
